NON-APPEALABLE OFFENSES
Mandatory Minimum Punishment Terms
Purpose. To provide uniformed, standard punishment terms for common offenses. To clarify certain appellate terms inclusive of the Asshattery appeals policy.
Establishment. There shall be established a minimum punishment for certain common offenses.
Classes. The classes of offenses subject to minimum punishments are:
Healing the Opposing Team;
Protecting the Opposing Team;
Repeated Self-Killing (Suicides).
Minimum Punishments. There shall be an automatic 30-day punishment (ban) imposed for players who are found to engage in the prohibited Classes conduct.
Right of Appeal. There shall be no right to appeal an automatic 30-day punishment (ban) imposed for engaging in the prohibited Classes conduct.
The GANG Rules
A person who wears the [TheGANG] Clan tag is a representative of The Gang Clan. The manner in which such a person conducts himself or herself undoubtedly reflects upon The Gang Clan as an institution.
Standards. The following standards, although not inclusive of every situation that may arise, are meant to provide ethical guidance to help clan members decide how to conduct themselves:
1. The Gang members shall respect others.
2. The Gang members shall abide by the [TheGANG] Server Rules.
3. The Gang members shall protect the integrity of [TheGANG] game and voice servers, and shall not spam or flood a server with multiple commands.
4. The Gang members shall not abuse any power or privilege assigned to him or her, nor wrongfully restrict or inhibit any other legitimate player from using and enjoying [TheGANG] server or related services.
5. Any Gang member who plays on a non-[TheGANG] server shall give respect to others, with the understanding that the actions of a single clan member can reflect upon the clan as an institution.
6. The Gang members shall not use or distribute sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language (including, by way of example, but not limited to, ethnic slurs and religious epithets), content, character names, titles, descriptions, or in-game labels (including, by way of example, but not limited to, offensive or inappropriate player names, pet names and inscriptions).
7. The Gang members shall not, while playing a game, willfully exhibit or partake in behavior that is substantially disruptive to the game’s normal playability.
8. The Gang members shall not, while using [TheGANG] voice servers, exhibit or partake in behavior that demonstrates a pattern of disrespect to another [TheGANG] member, or which is meant to substantially disrupt others who are using the [TheGANG] voice servers. In using [TheGANG] voice servers, a member shall not defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights of any other person.
9. The Gang members shall not impersonate members from other gaming clans.
10. The Gang members shall not violate any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
11. The Gang members shall not conceal information that a player is suspected of hacking, or intentionally hide or falsify information that is relevant to a hacking inquiry.
12. The Gang members shall remain loyal to [TheGANG], forsaking all other clan enlistment or invitation-to-join requests. Multi-clan membership is not permitted, thus [TheGANG] members shall not be a member of any other clan but [TheGANG].
13. The Gang members shall wear and display the The Gang tag as a condition of [TheGANG] membership. Evidence that establishes a deliberate, willful and unjustified act of not using [TheGANG] tag shall be a basis for sanctions.
14. Any [TheGANG] members who acts in the capacity of an Admin or Moderator shall wear and display the [TheGANG] tag at all times, save for periods of justified aliasing (such as in the pursuit of investigating cheating allegations or like performance of duties). [TheGANG] Admins or Moderators who refuses without justification to wear and display the [TheGANG] tag shall be removed from official duties and/or subjected to further sanctions, if any.
Remedies. Any [TheGANG] member who violates the Code of Conduct may be subjected to a warning or other notice, but egregious, serious, or repeated violations can result in other sanctions, such as a temporary or permanent server ban or other ban, without warning. In addition, other sanctions may include suspension or expulsion from [TheGANG] Clan, or any other remedy as is deemed appropriate.
